Game Related Questions

1. What makes Cronous unique compared to other MMORPG’s, for example, what does Cronous offer which no other online game offers to its members?

Quick level up and speedy action are strong points of Cronous that can be differentiated from other online games. It is targeted to users who want to play classic MMORPG but dissatisfied by passiveness of the game. Cronous carries merits of both MMORPG and PC game with just right ingredients such as speedy action, quick levelling, various items and strong community.


2. More than 70% of users suggest that events held within the game establish a more enjoyable gaming experience. How important do you think events are within Cronous and what kind of events could users expect in the coming months?

Events are held regularly and during the 5 months since the CBT and OBT, we had about 10 events for our users. These events are co-related to major updates or to make gamers to feel Cronous approachable.
We also think that regular and periodical events play important factor in an online game. Coming events that our users can expect are ‘Siege Warfare update & event’ and UCC (User Created Content) event where users may show and boast to others their game play. Details on these events would be announced soon.


3. One of major issues which many gaming companies continue to tackle with include scammers, hackers and botters within the game. How does the Cronous team plan to tackle these issues and prevent them from occurring?

We have prepared separate guideline and policy for our global service. We investigate any reported scamming by thoroughly reviewing chat and item trade logs and impose appropriate penalties. Our GMs put their best effort to root honest gaming environment and healthy community.
We have know-how of providing service for 5 years in Korea. We have accumulated knowledge on methods and preventive measures on various situations. For situations we cannot completely prevent in advance such as hacking and bots, we can handle the problem within minimal time.


4. One of the major issues which many online games continue to tackle with are in game kill stealers (aka KS’ers). How does Cronous plan to prevent or minimise the amount of kill stealers within the game?

PvP System of Cronous basically reprimands no penalty. If a user is attacked by another and knocked down, no item or experience point is dropped. However, Virtue point of the user who attacked is dropped. Virtue is divided into several steps from Evil to Moral to prevent indiscriminate PKing in the game. This Virtue level is not related to PvP but it is related to NPC where user with low Virtue may gain less items and money from a monster.
There is no reward in PvP. However, PvP is recognized in Guild War or in Union War, a siege warfare system, where users are free to battle with each other that the thrill and fun of it is actually the reward itself.


5. Would it be likely that in the future Cronous may introduce new classes within the game? If so, what kind of unique abilities may these classes contain?

We do not have any plans to add more class as of now. We believe that with the 4 classes available, gamers can collaborate, form party and approach the game strategically in infinite ways. Each class has various skills that even if you play same class, each may have its own uniqueness.

1. Briefly describe how Lizard Interactive has progressed during the past 3 months and what users should expect in the coming months?

Cronous has been serviced in various countries in Asia and we have decided that its time for us to move out worldwide. We believe contents of Cronous can satisfy the taste of American and European gamers as it did to Asian gamers.
With the know-how we have accumulated, we have initiated our global service directly, without any local publisher or partner, through web game portal called ‘Game & Game’. By providing service directly, we will be able to answer to needs of gamers more flexibly and quickly.


2. In 25 words or less describe the values and beliefs which Lizard Interactive have built upon.

Lizard Interactive has a long history on online game development and service. As you can see from the real meaning of LIZARD, we aspire to lead online game industry and provide best community service to gamers.


3. Briefly describe what may occur on an average day, including what kind of duties or requirements a GameMaster (GM) may encounter.

GMs holds events regularly and monitors users’ opinions and complains. Moreover, they answer to 1:1 inquiry and verify and solve bugs submitted by users through Cronous website. They also test upcoming updates and prepare for possible problems.
Gearing of different teams is needed to develop and service an online game but they are the ones that get users’ response directly so you may say they play a very important role.


4. How would a GameMaster (GM) describe the online gaming world to a beginner in 25 words or less?
“A virtual world where emotions exist not much less than reality”
An online game is a healthy place to relieve your stress and have fun. It is a place where you form a community with other users and gain something more out of it than just a game play.


5. In ONE word how would you describe Cronous?

I would describe Cronous as “A unique paradigm of online game” that you have not experienced yet.
